EPV Approved - OIDE- Effective Use of Digital Technologies in the Primary Classroom

Learning outcomes

Participants on this OIDE TiE course will explore a range of digital tools that they can easily integrate into their classroom. Simple changes in the teaching, learning and assessment tools can increase active learning, cut down on the time spent searching for resources and sources of information and facilitate engaging forms of assessment! Teachers will interact and experiment with an array of tools, websites and technologies throughout the course. They will use these tools in activities that can be adapted and replicated in their own classrooms.

● What resources are out there specifically for Irish classrooms?

● How can I make assessment an engaging component of my lessons?

● Where can I find resources to deal with online safety and cyberbullying?

● How can my school plan together to embed Digital Technologies in teaching, learning and assessment using the Digital Learning Framework

Summer Course Booking Policy

Our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable.

Wexford Education Support Centre reserves the right to cancel a Summer Course where there are not sufficient numbers to run the course. A full refund will be offered if this happens or you may also choose to reserve a place on an alternative course. 

Please note: Participants attending Summer Courses receive the following number of EPV days:  

• Full Attendance (20 Hours): 3 EPV Days
• 4 Days Attendance (16 Hours): 2 EPV Days 
• No EPV days will be awarded for less than 4 days attendance
• Please note: Closing Date for Registration is Friday 19th June 2026
