 back to school stem

Finding a way to get to school isn’t just a necessity, it's an opportunity for STEM learning and exploration for all children from junior infants to 6th class. Discover the different ways children get to school through engaging in the mathematical strand ‘Data’. Children will then get the opportunity to think like an infrastructure engineer as they map out their locality to make getting to school safer and easier.

  1. Collect, record, represent and analyse data in a range of formats suitable for children from junior infants to 6th
  2. Map out the traffic infrastructure in their community.
  3. Discuss the impact of this infrastructure and how it can be improved.
