The Six Writing Genres of the Primary Language Curriculum

In this session, participants will explore the strategies that can be incorporated into classroom practice to develop children’s exposure to the genres and the use of modelled and guided writing to develop competence in writing.

• Participants will engage in modelled instruction of a picture book in the teaching of persuasive writing.
