Explore our National Geographic Kids Primary Resources!
We’ve put together a wide variety of engaging teaching ideas, with accompanying resource sheets to save you time and effort. Our primary resources are pupil-focused, interdisciplinary, and all the information is included – so they’re perfect to work on together, or for a child to complete independently! Whether you’re teaching in the classroom, or supporting a child’s learning at home, our primary resources can help.
The primary resources support core subjects like English, Maths, and Science, while also covering the wider curriculum with resources for Geography, History, Art, and Culture – which includes opportunities for SMSC (spiritual, moral, social, and cultural) development. What’s more, each primary resource is directly linked to the National Curriculum, and the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, so you can be assured that the content is relevant.
Each primary resource comes with a list of the curriculum areas that it covers, to support you in finding a balanced learning plan. The writing follows the same tone as National Geographic Kids magazine, and every primary resource is sure to engage children by making learning fun and accessible.

Each short video ranging from 5-7 min focuses on a challenging scenario/emotion (worry, disappointment, anger etc) that children are likely to experience in a more heightened way at this time. In each video we share one Mindfulness technique that children can use to respond to these emotions and support greater emotional equilibrium. These videos are directly related to the SPHE curriculum, specifically the stand units Taking Care of my body and Growing and Changing in the strand Myself and the strand unit of Myself and my Family in the strand Myself and others.
Our intention is to support teachers, parents and guardians in helping pupils to resource themselves to meet the challenges of this time with strength and kindness.
Here are the links to our Introductory video for teachers, parents and guardians and the first two in our series The Mindfulness Worry & Mindfulness Anger Videos for Kids.
We will release two new videos every Monday until May 25th. If you feel they would be of benefit to your educational community, we would encourage you to share them.
