Digital Citizenship Champions Programme

The Digital Citizenship Champion Programme is a collaboration between Oide and Webwise.
This initiative is designed to empower teachers to promote digital citizenship and online safety in their schools and local area. 
Programme Highlights: 
  1. Professional Development: We are offering a tailored Professional Learning (PL) workshops that include face-to-face training, specifically designed to develop the competence of Digital Citizenship Champions (tutors) to promote digital citizenship and internet safety. There is a possibility of a fourth workshop in April, and we will inform you of this as soon as possible. 
     
  2. Online Drop-In Clinic: We will run an online drop-in clinic session for tutors to attend if they have any additional questions about the presentation they will deliver in schools/ at your Education Centre following our full-day workshops. 
     
  3. Implementation: Tutors received their first full day of training in May and a workshop based on the content explored is ready for them to facilitate through Education Centres for this term.
    Please contact tutors in your area directly if you wish to run this training. 
 
Digital Citizenship Training Days Term 1 and 2: 
Once participants have been confirmed they will be allocated to one of the following venues:  
 
  • Limerick Education Centre: November 5th  and January 14th  
  • Laois Education Centre: November 6th and January 16th  
  • Athlone Education Centre: November 12th and January 21st  
 
Substitute cover and usual travel/subsistence rates apply.
