Transition to SC 2023

Transitioning to secondary school is a major milestone in a child’s life and it’s very important to prepare neuro-diverse children (autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder/Dyspraxia, ADHD and/or dyslexia) in order to make this transition as smooth as possible. Dr Dorothy Armstrong will host a webinar that is aimed at teachers, parents and those who work with this population.

It will cover issues such as:

• The issues that are challenging for the neuro-diverse child when transitioning to secondary school

• How to prepare the neurodiverse child for the transition

• Strategies that will help with organisation and secondary school readiness

Learning Outcomes

1. Develop knowledge and understanding of the issues that are challenging for the neuro-diverse child when transitioning to secondary school

2. Develop strategies for preparing the neurodiverse child for the transition

3. Develop strategies that will help with organisation and secondary school readiness
