Understanding your Promethean software - How to maximise engagement with interactivity.

Training and support are imperative to the successful adoption of any technology.

The intent of Prometheans training provision is to provide and support a wrap-around service for teachers. Promethean are dedicated to ensuring that our teachers can utilise the ActivPanel as soon as they are installed.  

 ActivPanel Orientation Sessions 

These sessions are designed to help teachers understand the basics of the hardware and software. Features and basic functions are reviewed but the real focus is pedagogy, on how to use Promethean effectively for learning and teaching in the classroom. 

 These sessions can cover*: 

• ActivPanel Hardware – connectivity, control, and basic troubleshooting 
• Using the ActivPanel built-in features, such as the pre-installed Classroom Essential Apps 
• Practical examples for using Spinner, Timer, the infinite Whiteboard canvas and Screen Share 
• Lesson examples: magic writing, translucency slider, resource browser, drag a copy, manipulating text and images and more 
• Connecting student devices for mirroring.
