
Everyone has times when they feel aware of being thankful for a person or a situation. These moments give us a good feeling that we call ‘gratitude’. Gratitude is not just a feeling that happens sometimes, you can increase how often you feel it. Research has shown that people with high levels of gratitude experience a whole bunch of benefits. This course is designed to give participants the tools to develop their gratitude practice.
Intended Learning Outcomes
1. Develop an understanding of gratitude and its transformative effect in our lives.
2. Identify the connection between gratitude, happiness, and the maintenance of positive mental health.
3. Foster gratitude through gratitude exercises.
4. Develop the confidence to bring gratitude to the classroom.
5. Provide a classroom plan and resources aligned with the Junior Cycle Wellbeing Indicators.
