This course will highlight the importance of language development and how it is a necessary perquisite to learning in inclusive schools.
It wil provide an opportunity to identify how communication needs can be incorporated to school improvement initiatives and the teacher resource allocation model.
It will explore how the acquisition oflanguage linked to literacy is inter-related to the holistic development of children with and without special educational needs in support of differentiated learning and teaching.
It will explore relevant educational resources and teaching & learning approaches that are useful in the education of children with diverse communication abilities.
