With the arrival of the Primary Language Curriculum for infant, first and second classes, teachers are noticing a bigger emphasis on a pedagogy of play to enhance teaching and learning across all areas of the curriculum.
Did you know that the PLC reflects key ideas form the Aistear Framework including the use of one hour of child-led play per day?
Come to this workshop for practical suggestions on using key elements of the Aistear Framework to organise space and resources in your classroom and provide for curriculum integration by incorporating a playful approach to your teaching including an hour of child-led play daily. This workshop will also look at ways to develop children’s language, literacy and numeracy skills through play, suggestions for how you can assess children’s learning during play and ideas to help parents support learning at home.
