The NCCA is looking for primary teachers who are currently coding in their classrooms. If this is you? Are you interested in sharing your coding work with the NCCA? This is an opportunity to meet teachers from other schools who are also using coding, and to learn from each other. The NCCA will share examples of coding on the website as a support to other schools.

Drawing on the work above, Phase 2 (2018) will involve a network of schools piloting different approaches to integrating coding in the primary curriculum.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences, let the NCCA know by completing a short survey...

Children are exposed to hundreds of messages every week from media and advertising sources in different forms. Although children are very technologically savvy, they need support to process the messages from media and advertising. Using a cross-curricular whole school approach MediaWise, a media literacy resources for primary schools, helps children to develop their critical thinking and decision-making skills around media. Through a variety of active and interactive lessons, children can learn to be truly media wise. This course aims to outline the cross-curricular objectives of the program while engaging teachers in a number of activities used to promote media awareness throughout the programme. Book online at
